Two Months Later...

Okay, I just ended up changing my layout a bit because the whole thumb + auto-preview formatting thing wasn't cutting it. At least now, it's easier to embed things (like Instagram videooos!).

I wonder if I can recap my almost 2 months of leaving this for dead. Basically, my batshit crazy professor scares the shizzat outta me, so I've been reading and trying to retain as much information as I can in an effort to NOT fail. It was a class on Mexican politics and I know almost nothing about Mexico, besides knowing some shitty Spanish. Finals are over. I will check my grades when Christmas nears, I guess. I need to take another look at my academic progress report online anyway because I'm literally 6 units away from graduating, and I just need to make sure it's happening. I also need to file the paper work for graduation which I was suppose to do 20 weeks ago, but yeeeaaaaah. My friend said they're going to scold me because of it but whatever. I don't plan go attend the ceremony for it and it's not like I'll need my diploma immediately anyway.

Lol, I always thought it'd be cool to have a diverse portfolio like..."Hi! I'm a certified teacher with a massage therapy, personal training, and bar tending license. I also have a bachelors in Political Science concentrating on Public Administration. Furthermore, I'm also a YouTube personality and blogger". I'm sure interviewers would just look at that with an eyebrow raised though (lol).

But anyway, I also spent a whole week or so writing a 21 page paper on the Obama administration for my senior writing class. That class is easy though because the teacher is so nice. I wrote a lot of stuff on my midterm and barely cited anything (even though I skimmed through the entire book) and ended up with a B+ on my midterm. That left me a little, like, "woah~" because my other professor is scary (lol). She reminds me of the actress who plays "Veep" if I haven't already stated it before. During my paper writing, I really could've utilized a second monitor so that it'd be easier to read a source on one screen and type on the other. My brother, however, uses it to fucking play online games on one and streams sports games on the other which bugs the shit outta me because I find it so unproductive.

Back to food though! Ummmm... going back to where I left off on my last entry in October, I had this chirashi bowl with Lisa and a small boat of sushi at R2 Kazoku. Although good, I don't think it was worth the $30 or so spent on it. Our boat's sushi selection (it's random) also wasn't as good as our first one.

[OOTD] Cardigan of Swallows.

Lisa adored my cardigan. Nice. She wanted one for herself. As I was prepping to meet up with her, I realized that they didn't even have pockets. For something that retailed for 60 something bucks, you'd think they'd include pockets. Sadly, it was night and my camera is annoying. There are like no dimensions to my legs so they look sad...I'll have a follow up entry with actual text after this one. I'm not sure if I'm just really easily agitated or my infrared sensor on my DSLR camera is really just not working, but it seems to be getting worse and worse. Ugh! I would use my camcorder as a substitute but the lens can't retract back. Given the amount of space I have, I can only do so much. ~____~ I wish I had that token photographer friend that everyone seems to have to make me look fabulous no matter what and we'd just eat everywhere. Blerg.

[OOTD] Why are you wearing two tanks?

But...they're attached to each other. T____T~ So anyway, weather is slowly transitioning to fall. Los Angeles is known for its mild temperatures and Mediterranean climate, so it's not even considered cold to some people. That day, however, was almost 90 degrees Fahrenheit but I didn't want to feel cold in class at the same time because the weather is kind of wishy-washy, so it seemed fitting. Tank and farmer's tan chic~ har har.
Going back on my last OOTD entry about my annoying remote, I'm hoping that the current Sony NEX-5 will go below $400 during the upcoming holidays. If not, I'll look into an Olympus PEN or something. I've come to the conclusion that it's not my remote that is being annoying but my DSLR. I've tested to see if the remote responds to my button pushing via infrared test where you hold your cellphone to it and view it on camera mode and if the remote is working, you'll see the cellphone screen show the infrared light because the human eye can't see it. I also wiped my sensor on my DSLR which is suppose to be the receiver, but it didn't really help all that much. I have like a success rate of capturing a frame of about 15% ~____~. I'm kind of sold on the NEX-5 because of the flip "selfie" screen and WiFi capabilities. My current remote is also compatible with it already but you can utilize the WiFi capabilities to make your smartphone a remote (apparently). The only sad thing is that I won't be able to use my current Sony Alpha lens with the NEX because they use different mounts. Also with the micro four-thirds, I'll be able to record nicer videos (even though my camcorder is pretty nice as is), but it'll be more convenient to capture my future dog...or something. Ugh, we'll see. That's like half my dog money but I got to get done with my senior writing and Mexican politics class first before I get serious with anything.

[OOTD] New Yawwwk.

Sucks. I formatted my blog so that it cuts off my entry automatically, so I'm not sure how to format this type of entry to look pretty. It's going to be a big blob of empty space and just a thumb if I don't type anything. Well anyway! I got my full sized tripod now and it is enormous compared to my smaller one. I don't know why I ever bothered having a mini one and not just going full sized. I don't think the price difference was that substantial. I can't remember the price of my previous tripod since it's over a year old. My remote for my camera, however, is DAMN annoying. My camcorder's remote is worlds better. I kind of regret not just getting a Canon or Nikon camera because I don't think I would be as annoyed, but I'll just work with what I got. If this proves to be anything of a success, then I can put forth what I get towards a new DSLR. For now, it's continuously pressing the 2 second shutter button and hoping that indicator light starts blinking. ~____~.
